Help! Monitored on clomid?

Question

Are you supposed to be monitored while on clomid? My OB prescribed it for 5 months/cycles and I’m not being monitored. He just said to come back in 5 months if I don’t get pregnant. Wondering if others are usually monitored and if I should be concerned.

mine is doing day 21 blood work to confirm ovulation but thats mostly because if i dont ovulate ill be bumped up to 100mg. also i only get 1 month at a time which is pretty inconvenient. i think its funny ppl say its dangerous to take without a scrip because you wont be monitored, but most drs dont wanna monitor anyway.

I have been on 50mg for 4 cycles and did not get monitored either

What mg are you on? I just did my first round at 50mg, without monitoring. The only thing they did was a blood test to confirm ovulation. 
Not sure what my doctor will want to do next if I don't fall pregnant, but I am pretty sure she wants to monitor me next month.
But anyway, some doctors monitor and others don't. I'm sure if you mentioned that you waned to be monitored it wouldn't be a problem.
