I'm late!

I was supposed to start my period on the 16th, but I haven't yet. I bought a test today to take in the morning. I've been having dreams of me at the fair in August and finding out I'm pregnant then. Should I wait or just take it? UPDATE! I took a test this morning and I'm not sure if there's a faint line... I hope I'm not seeing things
