inappropriate name?

I'm having the hardest time deciding on a name for my baby girl! I like Arienne but it sounds like aryan.... when you hear it/say it, does it remind you of hitler?

I wouldn't have thought that unless you pointed it out, but if it makes you think that then maybe you should rethink the name. I think it's cute, but you don't want to constantly be thinking of Hitler when you say your baby's name...

My middle school classmate had that name. It was pronounced "ARE ee ANN."

I say it differently. Enne not an. You could also do Arienna

My name is Ariann, pronounced Air EE Anne and I’ve only gotten that a handful of times, but I will say no one can ever pronounce it correctly and I have to spell it for everyone.

I don't think you would ever think about it being related to Hitler once you name her that.  The new association would give it new meaning.
