STM’s how early did you potty train first child?

I waited until my daughter decided she was ready which was shortly after her 2nd birthday. One day she just asked me if she could wear panties. And haven’t had diapers since. We had her sit on the potty every 15 minutes at the beginning and increased the length of time until she would tell us herself.

We started at like 18 months and we deeply regret starting that early. She just wasn't ready and it took forever and it was so frustrating for everyone. This time we are waiting till my second is a little older so she is 20 months now and we haven't started yet but she shows signs of starting to be ready.

I just let her sit on the toilet starting at 18 months. I just let her be.. don’t force it at all. She got a hang of it I guess cause by 2 she was already going on the toilet on her own. Of course there were times where she occasionally leak on her undie but I never scolded her. Just reminded her to go. (She would hold it in when she was having way to much fun)

We started when my daughter was about two. she was doing great with it and she started to fight it. Now it's too the point she'll scream and refuse to go for me and will literally just stand and pee on the floor. We had to back off potty training for a moment because she was holding her poop and wouldn't go. It got so bad she was making herself constipated and crying in pain. Now that I'm pregnant and trying to potty train her again it's even harder because she'll kick and scream and fight and I can't hardly pick her up to sit her on the toilet. :(

Started the 3 day method just before my daughters second birthday. We went on vacation and she stopped going in the toilet. Now, at 26 months she is potty trained, but still wears diapers for nap time and bedtime.

My daughter's birthday is right before Christmas and we got some gifts about a month or 2 later for her so she would be able to open a gift when she went potty in the toilet  and lots of praising that she is a big girl. I had to have her trained before her brother arrived. They are 19 months apart. She was a quick learner. My son on the other hand took forever.

my son is almost 2.5 and its still a work in progress. we started about 3 months ago. most times he pees on the toilet but he still wont poop.

Just started this weekend actually with my 2.5 y/o boy... Went with the 3 day method and he's doing great, but not initiating needing to go... So we put him on the potty every 30 mins... Tomorrow he's back at daycare and unfortunately I think we'll need to do pull ups until he starts to connect the feeling of needing to go and saying he needs to go... Soooo hard though, it was a  exhausting long weekend... But only 1 missed poop and a handful of pee accidents.

My daughter is 2 (25 months, so a new 2). She goes on the potty at school, but not consistently enough to put her in undies yet. I didn’t do the poll because I don’t have an answer yet! We are trying a little here and there, but I really don’t think she’s really ready yet.
