If you had your first child recently, a sprinkle where people can buy you small items is great. A full shower can feel like a gift grab if the bigger items you got for the first kid are still usable.

When we had our second, a girl, a friend threw us a sprinkle. Since we had all our big items people were invited to gift us diapers and wipes, and clothes, blankets, swaddles, etc. that were girl oriented. It was great and those are the kinds of items shower guests have more fun buying anyway.

I would have one if someone threw it for me I am just not going to throw my own but I have a boy that is 10 a girl that is 9 and am due in October with a girl so I have absolutely nothing left from when they were babies so we have been buying a lil each week so she has what she needs

I didn't have a shower for my second, since both are girls, only 1 1/2 years apart. But my friends scrounged up hand-me-down clothes for the first few months since I had already gotten rid of those. Not sure what will happen if I have a boy this third pregnancy. No shower if a girl, but it would be nice to have a sprinkle if I have a boy. However, my husband has already gotten hand-me-down stroller, car-seat, etc. from friends.

We had a small sprinkle for my second, dinner out with a few girlfriends and gift cards. My first two are boys, so I didn't need much. Baby #3 is a girl and my girlfriends insisted on having another sprinkle. Grilling and gifts!💝

I've had a baby shower for both of my girls and now that I'm finally having a boy we will definitely have another one.

My kids will be 9 years apart so we are definitely having a shower…  but we are keeping the main stuff nuetral color so we can use for the next baby. We are planning back to back kids to get it over with it. But if the next one is a girl, we can have a shower as well but not requesting any big item,  just girlies clothes.  I am sure my mil will be all over it since she really wanted me to have a girl. But if its a boy again we won't be having any baby shower.
