FTM help!

Marcela
My son is 10 days old and I am exclusively breastfeeding. It has been going ok. During the day he's pretty much eating every 2-3 hours and napping in between, but at night he wants to eat almost every hour! I had finally come to terms with the fact that I probably won't sleep at night for a while, but now he's starting to fall asleep at the breast almost every time I try to feed him. He also gets super gassy so his feedings take an hour or more.
Any suggestions on keeping him awake during feedings and gas??

Take a wipe and gently rub it across his neck or face. Also gas drops will do wonders!

Just go with it. The baby will adjust.

Breast compressions, they help get the milk flowing faster to wake them up and it helps with long feedings, cluster feedings and helps wake them up. Read about them on breastfeedinginc.ca

Change is diaper when he falls asleep. Itsvery normal for little ones to cluster feed in the evening. For the gas, lay him on hos back and move his legs like hes riding a bike, also tummy time can help with gas as well
