How many days can you ovulate in a row?

Just wondering because I’ve gotten positive ovulation test for almost 4 days in a row. Don’t know if it’s possible or if the ovulation strips I have are faulty..?

You count ovulation from your first surge. You can’t ovulate “many days in a row.” Once you get a surge you are suppose to stop testing. You will ovulate 12-48 hours after that initial surge typically. I had a long surge too. Doesn’t really mean anything. Some people say it could mean your body is still trying to release the egg, but we actually don’t really know.

You only technically ovulate one day each month. 
Typically, women experience “peak fertility” for up to 6 days (5 days prior + 1 day, on the day of ovulation.) Fewer days as you age, and depending on other factors.
Imagine you’re a farmer (in this case, a baby farmer). Think of sperm as “baby seeds,” your egg as “baby rain,” and your lady guts as “the field” where you’ll grow your “baby crops.” 
Now, think of your days of “peak fertility” as the days just before “baby rain” (ovulation, when the egg is released).
You gotta plant some “baby seeds” (get sperm in there) before/during the forecasted monthly “baby rain,” each month. (In other words, you gotta get some sperm in there before and/or on the 1 day of ovulation each month). “Baby seeds” (sperm) can live for up to 5 days, after they’re “planted” inside you. But if the “baby rain” (egg) doesn’t come, then the seeds die. 
Likewise, if it “rains” (you ovulate, your egg drops) and no viable “seeds” are there to meet the rain, then the egg too dies/dissolves. 
In short, you are not ovulating everyday of a positive OPK test. The OPK test is only telling you “rain (an egg) is in the forecast soon, so plant some seeds (sperm) soon.” :-)

Also, from the moment your lady guts release an egg, it only has 12-24 hours To meet up with a sperm. So, def you only ovulate 1 day (or less) each month.
