5 days post abortion pregnancy test

I had a surgical abortion 5 days ago at exactly 5 weeks, the doctor told me that the entire pregnancy could fit on the top of a pen. After the procedure he asked me to come back in two weeks to make sure he was able to get it since it was so tiny. So, I took a pregnancy test today- I know that HCG can stay in your system for weeks after an abortion but I thought the line would be getting a little lighter? Especially since I was only just 5 weeks at the time of the abortion. Has anyone here taken pregnancy tests the weeks following their abortion? When did you notice the line getting lighter?
