question about failed spinal tap?

theyvre did my spinal tap 4 times and it failed and i had to be put to sleep for last csec. anyone had spinal tap fail but next time around it worked??? curious if i should skip risking getting paralyzed and just be put to sleeppp.... freaking terrified again. thanks for any expeirence or info

I just had a pain management class and apparently spirals are dated and epidurals are completely different they don’t go as deep and the needle does not stay in just a flexible catheter. The risk of paralysis is extremely low, and the instructor mentioned that In order to distribute the epidural you have to move around in the bed so that it’s effective throughout the entire area that it’s needed

I’m not persuading you either way but I’m not getting an epidural due to my sisters who have had children 3 days after the hospital they all came up paralyzed and had to be hospitalized.
