Is it safe to eat hotdogs?

My friend just told me this but my doctor didn't? What have you been told about eating hotdogs?

Heated until hot and steamy! I ate hotdogs every day for almost 3 weeks, which was great considering I had aversions to almost everything else.

All I eat are those grassfed nitrate free hotdogs with hf corn syrup-free ketchup. Just don’t eat them cold out of the package like a freak. Lol

My doc said they’re like lunch meat and fine if heated. Even something like pigs in a blanket that’s come to room temp he said is fine as long as it was cooked.

Oh gross. Do you know what’s in them? They are so toxic. I don’t eat them normally. Not sure how they are classified as food!
