Bed with no dinner?

So I saw a conversation about this on Facebook and thought it would be interesting to hear your views on it. Would you ever send your child to bed with out dinner? I personally don’t have any children yet, but when my little one is born and is at an age where she understands punishment I dont think I would personally use this punishment because food is a necessity, but I would instead feed her a small simple dinner that’s not something she enjoys but fills her stomach before she is sent to bed. Something like a basic sandwich and water or chicken and vegetable and water. When I was little that’s what my parents would do. The only time I was actually sent to bed without food is when I refused to eat/even try what my mom made. Then threw a tantrum when told I could either go hungry or fix myself a sandwich ( I was like 10 so super inappropriate behavior on my part and I definitely deserved just being sent to bed)

Please no shaming others or being rude. I just want to hear how others view/feel about this topic.
