Birth control to regulate or stop period?

I’ve heard little of this subject and am interested because of my periods being so unbearably painful and irregular like crazy. I have an issue where I can’t take very many pain meds so I have to just ride out the cramps and I’m just so ready to hand over my reproductive system. But I’m curious for any further information on any specific birth control methods safe for a 14 y/o. I also am not sexually active and could care less about birth control to prevent pregnancy. I just am looking for a solution for my period issues and have heard lil about all this.
