When should I make and appointment?

I just found out today that I'm pregnant and I'm really excited. According to Glow I'm 5 weeks 4 days.  I don't have a regular doctor just yet because I moved to a different city and my husband and I have been slacking on finding a GP. When do I make an appointment and with who?

Call local obgyn offices and find out if they are accepting new patients. I'd call to try and schedule ASAP. You will not get in right away anyway, so it's good to call and find out at what week in pregnancy that particular office sees its patients for the first time. Not to mention, most obgyn's stay booked all the time, so it's important to make sure they'll accept a new patient and get your name on the list for an appointment.

You can call an ob/gyn in your insurance network now and they will set you up with an appointment it may be few weeks from now but at least you will have an appointment :)
