My story after the depo 😡

Belle❤ • Finally pregnant after 11 years of infertility 💖💖 Due Sept 2023 with our baby girl 💖💖

My doctor told me that it could take a few months for my periods to go back to normal. There was no mention of how long afterwards it could affect ttc or that it was a hormonal birth control so could have aide effects, I was just told to turn up and have an injection. There was no information given. The depo triggered my PCOS and I had my last injection in march/April 2012 and have been ttc since then. At first the doctor told me it could take 6 months to conceive, then 12, then 18, then 2 years!! There needs to be more information given to women who are seeking an easier birth control, the pros and cons and side effects. My consultant told me 2 years ago, after ttc for over 3 years that I'd already got pcos but the hormonal changes from the depo triggered it and that was one of the reasons I hadn't gotten pregnant. I feel so stupid for getting the depo now, like it's My fault I'm infertile because I listened to my doctor 😣😣
