Are sweeps painful?

I’m approaching my due date and my dr mentioned doing a sweep for me tomorrow. She is kind of rough and even just my cervix checks from her are pretty painful. I’m just wondering how it will feel to get a sweep.

I had a sweep today, felt very uncomfortable but for me not painful. I feel even more uncomfortable now though 😒

I had one done today too! Second pregnancy, first sweep ever. I’m 39+1, 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. It was uncomfortable bordering on painful, but I’m also a HUGE wimp about cervix checks. I prefer labor honestly. 😂

It depends on the doctor.. I had two sweeps with my previous pregnancy and I found them just uncomfortable but bareable. 
I had one today and it was really painful, I had tears 😳

Just had mine done, felt like someone taking there nails and scraping 😭 idk if she did it well enough tho.
