Glow ap calculation ovulation day was wrongs?

Question

Wondering how the glow ap calculates ovulation day? Is it an estimate? Wondering if anyone out there has had the glow ap indicate they ovulated when it fact they didn't?

I have been charting my bbt this whole cycle but not sure how the ap figured my ovulation day?

It looks at the length between periods, like mine period is on a 26 day cycle. It calculates ovulation based on your cycle length, which varies per woman. 
Even then it is an estimate which is why they recommend BBT and using ovulation testing.  I've been on the app 2 months and my actual ovulation has been miscalculated by a day or two both months.  I start testing about midway through the fertile window Glow gives me. Then it corrects itself when I get my LH surge and log that information.

Like you said glow just calculate every body is different and we my probably ovulate early or late
