End of the world, would you want to know?

So I'm watching the movie Knowing (with Nicholas Cage), and in it he finds a set of numbers that are the locations and amount of people who died in catastophies or accidents. these were written by a girl like 30+ years before some of them happened. The last set of numbers end in EE, which means Everyone Else. Nicholas cages character then goes on to discover that a super flare was going to happen on that date, and that the radiation from it would destroy everything on earth. So my question is, if something like that was going to happen (Super flare, meteor strike, etc.) and would destroy all life on earth, would you want to know? or do you think knowing would make it worse?

I'd be too busy freaking out to make the most of my remaining time if I knew. I'd rather just go out doing the same shit I do every day than spend the rest of my life feeling like I hadn't done enough before the end

The problem is, if everyone wants to know and they get told it could cause complete chaos and destruction rather than everyone being peaceful and loving for their final days.
You want to visit somewhere you always wanted to go, forget it, there is no transport because everyone running the transport is off enjoying their final days. Need food, head off to the abandoned grocery store that has already been raided because the staff wanted to spend their last days with their loved ones not serving other people.
The pent up teenager who's been desperate to get his girlfriend to have sex with him, realises he could die a virgin so rapes her.
Some woman angry at her ex husband for leaving her, heads off to shoot him knowing there will be no consequences.
No good would come from everyone knowing the truth.

I'd want to know. I don't want to spend my last day cleaning my house like every other day. I want to have fun before I die

I wouldn’t want to know, the thought of my one year old dying so young and tragically would consume my last days. I  would rather spend that time enjoying life.

I don’t know to be honest, the advantage of knowing is that you’d get a chance to say goodbye to the people that matter most to you and do things you normally wouldn’t but at the same time you’d spend your last days/hours/minutes feeling stressed and depressed. I think in this case ignorance would be bliss for me.

I would want to know. I wouldnt want to miss the end of the world because I'm stuck in a cubicle. I would want to be with my family somewhere in nature so that beauty and love are the last things I see
