Severe irregular periods and BC

I’ve been sexually active for about a year but I’ve always been worried about seeing a gyno just because of how bad my periods are. I know somethings wrong but I just wasn’t ready to find out what.

Well I finally have my first gyno appointment coming up at 18 years old. Yay! 😒 Aside from the worries of my irregular periods, I’m looking to get on birth control.

I was looking at the Nexplanon but it’s gotten a lot of mixed reviews and I’m unsure of how the hormones would react with my antidepressants.

The pill would regulate my periods but I’m not so good with my other medications.

Any suggestions, tips, advice?

It’s really embarrassing but I’m actually so nervous.
