How far along?

Still confused about pregnancy technically being 10 months (40 weeks divided 4 weeks a month=10months). so when people ask how far along are u- how many months do u say? I'm 32 weeks- due April 17. so am I 8 months pregnant (32÷4 weeks in a month) even though my RED is 7 weeks away...

At this stage I just tell them how long I've got left. "6 weeks, 5 days left"

I’m the same as you, and I just say “I’m in the 8th month”. I hate how confusing it is lol

I’m due April 16 and it might move up too so I just started saying “I have less than 8 weeks” or less than 2 months. Which is crazy! It’s easier then saying I’m in my 8th month

The first 2 weeks are when tour period last was before ovulation. so when you're 4 weeks it's around two weeks post ovulation. plus some months have an extra week in it.

I'm due April 16th 😊 I'm just as confused as you.  I just tell people I have 8wks left. Most reactions lately have been to call me 'heavily pregnant', urgh 🙄 will the flattering comments never cease!!

4 weeks have 28 days, but most months have 30 or 31 days. As a result, there are from 20 to 23 “extra days” that help to explain why the 40 weeks of pregnancy correspond to roughly 9 months.
