Gay cat's??...

Question

My oldest cat is spayed and my youngest is not, but has an appointment next month to be. They are constantly licking each others vulvas and trying to breed each other. It's really just uncomfortable because it happens all the time and they are like obsessed with each other. Is there a way I can get this to stop? Will my second cat getting spayed fix the issue? Please help.
*Ok, awesome, but how do I get it to stop? Because it's honestly disgusting and makes my guests uncomfortable when they come over and see it. If I can't find a way to make them stop I'm rehoming one of them.

All animals do that. Even dogs. I’ve seen a lot of animals just do those things since I volunteered at a vets office for a long while. It’s not that they’re gay, but even if it’s two makes it two females they just groom each other and confuse each other’s genders.

Getting the other spayed might help, it’ll definitely get the hormones under control, but the other option is just to separate them when you have guests over. You can’t control them, they are going to do what they want. You could try teaching them it’s bad like with a spray bottle but idk how well that’ll work long term

Lol well animals aren't gay. They just honestly don't really know gender. It's in their instinct to breed so if all they have is a male around they will try to breed sometimes because they don't know any different. It's not a sexual thing. They don't even know what they are doing sometimes and sometimes. It's just normal behavior for two animals that are the only animals around.
