Birth control and period

Hi all I just have a quick little question. So my period was supposed to start last night. I was on my inactive pills like usual. However, the night before I was supposed to take my last active pill but completely forgot. So I took it yesterday when I woke up. Well, my period ALWAYS starts the night after I take my first inactive pill but it hasn't yet. Could me forgetting to take my last active pill be the cause? I've never forgotten a pill before so I'm not too sure. I have my regular symptoms but no period. Thanks!
