Baby Grace is finally here. Born at 38+6
My sweet little lady is a week and one day old today. As soon as they told me I was pregnant I did the math and thought “please god don’t let me have a valentines baby”. My EDD was 2/22 and that was just too close for comfort. I went to my normal weekly appointment on 2/12 and everything looked fine baby was prefect and my doctor offered to strip my membranes a little early since she was going on vacation and said 38 weeks wasn’t too early but normally she preferred to do it at 39. We proceeded with that and then we went to my SO’s brothers house where his sister in law and I started to try and get my labor going. It only took 5 hours and my contractions were 3 minutes apart and about 45 seconds long. We went in and they said I wasn’t dilating. Well after I left contractions got MUCH WORSE. for the next 48 hours my contractions ramped up to every 5 minutes but they were each 2:30 long. My SO said I would wake up screaming and then pass out right after they finished. They were so bad I couldn’t time them properly. This resulted in multiple trips to labor and delivery that ended in morphine and a ride home just to start it all over. Well valentines morning I was exhausted. It was 6 AM and I had been waking up every 5 minutes to scream. My SO had to sleep on the couch it was so bad. I sat up in bed to go pee but realized I was already wet. My water had finally broken. I showered changed and we went to the hospital. When we got there I was dilated to a 6 and they gave me an epidural stat. After that epidural my whole body relaxed but I was exhausted from two days of contractions. I took a short nap and nurse came to check on me at 10 and boom baby was ready to come out. I had to wait to push and I’m pretty sure I pushed a total of 12 times. Then at 12:11 my little stinker was finally born.

6 lbs 10 ounces and 18 inches long.
Her daddy is soo in love with her and my heart stops whenever he sings to her. I just feel bad for any boyfriend she ever has since she was born on valentines 💕😍
