Are you happy with the laws of your land?

Question

Do the laws make your country a great one? Do you believe you are free? Respected? Protected? Accepted? Are there any laws you strongly favour? What laws would you change? Are there any ridiculous ones? Is there another country you’d rather live in, due to them having better laws?
I say country, but if you’re in the US (which you probably are) you can discuss your state if you’d rather. Also, if you’re well versed on the laws of a different land, feel free to claim it and discuss that instead. Just so we’re not all discussing the US. 
Make clear what country or area you’re discussing, so others can give their opinions on that particular area.

I’m in the US and there are two things I would change that immediately came to mind. 
1st - we need better gun control and regulations.
2nd - child marriage in the US. 
The gun control is obvious, I won’t detail it. But the child marriage is one that I’ve been strongly against ever since a 14 year old girl in my high school was forced by her parents to marry her father’s friend because he got her pregnant after molesting and raping her. Never in the process did police get involved or did the judge ever question if SHE actually wanted to marry that monster.
In most states, it is legal for a child to marry an adult of any age with parental consent. Many states have no minimum age requirement for this, so there are instances where children as young as 10 have been married to adults. The children are not emancipated and cannot file for divorce since their spouse becomes their guardian until they turn 18. 
The US criticizes many third world countries for their child marriages, but keeps it legal to do it within our own country. It needs to be fixed. 
Also on a lighter note. In my state, SC, it is illegal to keep a horse in a bath rub. I’d love to know the story behind that one honestly.

From the midwest US- Marijuana needs to be legalized. No, not because I love getting high all the time (which I do) but because there are sooo many things marijuana and it's products can help with. I can go to the doctor, they can prescribe highly addictive sleeping pills for me yet smoking a blunt to help me fall asleep is illegal? They want us addicted. Marijuana has too much of a free market right now for the pharmaceutical companies to compete with. People are going to jail over a plant God put on this planet. It's ridiculous. Legalize nature.

In Canada- happy with most laws. Feel like we should be able to protect our land. And have fault in divorces.

I'm in ireland and compared to the US I think it's great that we have laws against spanking and laws against guns. 
I do however think our justice system is a bit too relaxed. People can get out of prison on good behaviour for murder after like 5 years. "A Life sentence" never means life. Our police are never efficient enough when they're called, they almost always show up late.

I‘m in Chicago, and I’m not happy that it’s a sanctuary city. Obviously the mayor doesn’t care that illegals are taking the jobs that unemployed blacks could have.
