Postpartum check up in 4 weeks??

Question

I always read and assumed the original postpartum check up was a standard 6 weeks... but my doctor told me to come in 4 weeks? I’m going to ask when I go in, I’m just curious why it’d be 4 weeks instead of 6? Any ideas? 
I had a great vaginal delivery with no complications besides a 1st degree tear.

Mine was scheduled at 4 weeks as well. I had no complications and some minor tearing. I assumed this is why it was scheduled at 4 weeks instead of 6 weeks: uncomplicated vaginal delivery.

Mine told me 4-6 weeks, just whenever I called and scheduled it. I had a vaginal with no complications or tearing. So I did 6 weeks just to get my self into a routine with a new baby

mine was one week pp then I was done. they only do six week visit if going in birth control.
