Two under two advice?

Looking for fun things to keep my toddler busy when the newborn gets here! Not Tv but something where she can sit with me while I care for baby or while I rest and play! Looking for toys that are engaging and quite! She will be around 20 months when baby is here!

My son will be just a few weeks shy of 2 when baby is born and one of my biggest things is keeping him entertained while I nurse. I plan on putting together 2 or 3 little boxes for him to alternate out each nursing session that he can only have during feeding time. I plan to put in them puzzles, books, sensory toys, just things he doesn’t normally play with that will keep his attention long enough for me to feed baby.

My first and second are 18 months apart. Like other moms have said, puzzles, books, lots of snacks at hand help wonders when you need time to tend to the baby. But honestly, it’s all about toy rotation I’ve noticed! If I give him something to play with or a puzzle or a book that’s been out on his shelf this whole time... no interest. Get a couple new ones and just keep rotating. He goes back to old toys all the time when he hasn’t seen them in awhile. Also, I’m not sure how your little one is with coloring but mine loves his pencil bag of crayons and a variety of coloring books/notebooks. 
Eventually you’ll find your routine with both children and it’ll all just come naturally. Good luck!

My son was 20 months when my daughter was born. I found involving him as much as possible helped. We did get him a leappad but he only used it for really long car journeys. Pre packed boxes of snacks helped for out and about, for example a tub of cut up grapes for when my daughter needed changing kept him happy to stay sat down in the pram

I know screentime is a little taboo, but have you looked into AbcMouse? They have a Groupon for two months free right now, and my 2 yo and 4yo both love it. I usually give them the tablet to play with. My son is mostly independent, but I try to play with my daughter. They are learning through a huge variety of activities, geared to their level, and it keeps them still and entertained.

I noticed one thing and that is I don't give my son enough credit. Since I have been pregnant I bring his blocks, books, and puzzles in the bed and he plays well for a while. I also have been sick and taking breathing treatments so I gave him his own mask to use not hooked up. I am going to try the same toys when the baby came and  have him help me with baby. He is 19 months right now.
