Tubes tied at 21?

I'm almost 28 weeks with my 3rd child, (a boy!) and I'm really having a hard time deciding if I want to get my tubes tied. I have to sign the paper 30 days before delivery so I'm feeling pressured somewhat... I love kids and I've always wanted 5, a big family, since I have a very very small family. But then again is that right? I'm a single mother but I feel eventually I will find "the one" and will want more kids. IDK.

If you have any doubts, don't do it!  Consider long term birth control like already mentioned. Implant or UID. You're good for 5-10 years, you don't have to worry about remembering to take it, and if you ever reconsider, you can!

I can tell you if you are questioning it at all you shouldn’t get it down . I am 27 and have 2 boys 8 and 5 and then another due in May . I am getting my tubes tied but we have been threw a lot I have had 3 miscarriages and then a tubal etpic and had to have my left tube taken out . And my husband is 30 and I am 27 and we are just done 3 is enough for us but we also have 5 dogs & 3 cats lol so itsa lot to handle most days and a lot a lot of cleaning on my end 🤣😂 but sweetie if you are questioning it at all you might not want to do it , you are 21 and if you have hope or think you might meet someone and want another child then don’t do it . Maybe try the pill or the Marina ?

Don’t do it,(unless medically necessary)I did it at 26 and worst decision it messed with my hormones and body so much not to mention I now always get ovarian cysts never use to

I would say not to do it if you are questioning yourself. I used to work at an OBs office and alot of ladies would come 6-10 years later wanting a baby because the had found someone who they wanted to have a baby with. They would be super depressed so no I dont recommend it for you at this time. Look into an IUD which can last for up to 10 years. I have four boys, my last delivery where twins and my husband and I decided to stop right there because 4 was enough but never did I consider having a tubal I was 22 years with 4 kids, and I said maybe not now but later on. I decided to get an IUD, I had for 7 years got it removed. 8 years later we are currently pregnant with our little princess. Btw all of our kids where planned 😳.

My husband wanted a vasectomy after our 3rd....at 33...and I had a tough time thinking about closing the door on our fertility at that age, so I can’t imagine doing it at 21.
We are now anticipating surprise baby #4.  So, I would recommend waiting on the tubal, but trying a longer term bc like an iud  or nexplanon.

You’re 21! You have at least 20 years of fertility left. Unless you’re absolutely sure don’t do it! Anything could happen in the next few years... there are many other birth control options.
