So, went to the store to stock up on some good ol frers. usually i don’t feel shame or embarrassment—i see it as a tool for those ttc or those who may not be. however.... i could understand why some of these cashiers may find the habit of repeatedly buying pregnancy tests somewhat odd...either way, i try to remain confident. what i buy is not their business.

anyway, TODAY, the cashier was having troubles with the barcode on the frers. after finally getting it, she points to the box and asks “is this for a happy happy?”—which, to me, doesn’t sound like any sort of reasonable question....i get what she was asking...but was infuriated...what if i wasn’t ttc and was scared shitless to see two pink lines....what if i miscarried and was using the test to watch my hcg drop....i muttered something out like “eh...here’s hoping”....but my mind was spinning.

does anyone else have pee stick grocery store horror stories or tips for avoiding awkward conversation?....perhaps i’ll just start ordering these online with my cheapo sticks...
