My due date was 2/15 but my doctor asked me if I wanted to be induced on 2/14 at 6am and I agreed.

At about 2am 2/14 I started naturally getting contractions that made it hard to sleep. Me and my SO left the house and headed to the hospital around 5am to avoid traffic. We checked in at about 5:50am and got settled in around 6am. After all the paperwork and stuff was finished all we were waiting on was my OB to come break my water.

At 7:52am my OB broke my water and it was a waiting game.

I decided I did not want any pain medication and my doctor said if she would have known that she wouldn’t have suggested induction but all I did was breathe through the contractions and I didn’t shed a tear until 8hours in. I caved and got an epidural. I swear I cried worse getting the epidural than I did with the contractions but after i got it I didn’t feel a thing. I started to get discouraged because every time my OB checked me I wasn’t progressing or I wasn’t progressing much. At around maybe 5pm my OB said that if I haven’t gotten to 5cm in an hour she was going to have to do a csection. At that point I was so done and ready to meet my baby girl that I was all for it. So when she came back in and I hadn’t passed 4cm I prepared myself for an unplanned csection to bring my beautiful girl into the world.

At 7:55pm on 2/14 my beautiful Valentine’s Day baby was born.
