How much biotin to take for hair?

Atm I use hair vitamins that contain 50ug of biotin. Which Iv realised isn’t a lot, I see on amazon you can buy straight biotin containing 10,000ug! That’s a massive difference! Is it safe to take that much??

i take the 5000mg and just take 2 of them a day. i know some people will breakout with biotin but i havent had any issues with it. mine are the gummies and i got them at target.

I took the 10,000 and my face broke out BAD. It was a vitamin overdose due to my weight. Oh and I grew hair on my chin and cheeks 🤭

I think mine (from Costco) contain 2,500mg
I read a possible side effect of excess biotin is acne. But other than that it’s not harmful. Your body will expel excess minerals and vitamins in your pee.
