Hi ladies, I had a d&c on May 1st (our 1st pregnancy and we lost it) and during my first checkup with the doctor after the D&c she checked my thyroid as I guess if your thyroid levels are off it can cause miscarriage. Mine was only slightly elevated at 2.8. It was within a normal range for most people but women trying to conceive they like it to see below 2.5. I started on a medication (lexothyroxin) and my body is so out of whack. I still have not gotten my period and I'm almost 6 weeks out and I'm afraid the thyroid medication along with the miscarriage is really slowing things down for my body to get back to normal. Has anyone had to start taking or currently taking thyroid medicine after a miscarriage? I want to stop taking the medication until I get my period and get things back to normal.
