Can someone tell me when the 2nd trimester starts?

My app says 12 weeks 1 day. Is that considered the 13th week? I would think 13 weeks 1 day would be considered week 13. Dumb question, I am just curious!

Technically it’s 13.3 weeks but more doctors say 14.

My doctor said 14 weeks . But everyone has difference answers and google makes it super complicated so I went with what my doctor told me

I think 13 weeks is the start. That’s when the second trimester notifications and symptoms were added on my pregnancy apps. My doctors always referred to the second trimester starting in the 13th week as well.
