Any mamas out there using nipple shields long term? My lo is one month old today and we are still using them, I tried to nurse her without them yesterday and afterwards my nipples were so sensitive and painful! Her latch is fantastic with the shield but I think with the combination of my flatter nipples and her small mouth makes for terrible nursing without the shield!

I’m worried because everyone and everything I’ve been reading says to use the shields short term and it’s so hard to nurse her in public (nearly impossible)! Anyone else still using shields or should I try and wean her off now?!
