How do miscarriages start?

Question

For those who’ve had one, how did it start? Did you cramp for a few days before? 
Was it light spotting for awhile? Did you bleed a lot first? Was there no symptoms ?
I’m having pelvic pain with period like cramps for 3 days.  No bleeding (yet?) I’m 6 weeks and 6 days

I have had 3 MCs. With the most recent one I had light cramps starting around week 4, never had any nausea. Then light spotting started when I should’ve been ~7+2. I went in for my ultrasound when I should’ve been 8+5. There was no heartbeat & baby measured 7+3. I still had sore breasts but baby died. Last April when I miscarried my baby was fine at my 8 week ultrasound. Perfect sac & heartbeat. A few days later my nausea & sore breasts disappeared. I went in for another ultrasound when I should’ve been 9 weeks. Baby measured 8+1 & there was no heartbeat. Once my hormones go down they’re going to do more tests to try to find out what is going on. What sucks is that the same heathy signs of pregnancy like light cramping/light spotting can be a sign of something not good. You can’t tell unless they do an ultrasound. Wishing you the best.

I cramped a lot in the first trimester. My doctor said unless they are extremely painful they are usually nothing to worry about, just your body getting used to pregnancy. Don’t worry yourself too much 😁

i had no cramping at all in the beginning. i just started with light pink spotting i never had to wear a pad cause it was just when i wiped. it then turned brown (4days later) 1week later its when the dark red bleeding started and horrible cramps it was that one day when i was passing everything. got my bfp on monday and i been spotting since yesterday my hcg levels are going up but don't know why its happening again.

For me personally, I had cramps for about 3 weeks but I didn't realize I was pregnant. I was SUPER distracted with a new job. So after I found out I was pregnant at around 7 weeks I started spotting a bit over the course of a few days. Then one morning I woke up and there was a lot of dark blood and (this is gross, sorry) clots and what looked like chunks of flesh. That happened while I was having cramps and they felt like the worst menstrual cramps I could even imagine to have. The bleeding was also excessive, like changing a pad every half hour and bleeding through my pants. But the first thing for me was definitely the intense cramps and bleeding dark blood with clots. I will be praying for you and I hope everything turns out okay for you.

Mine started with brown spotting for a day then it turned to red spotting for a couple days before becoming extremely heavy bleeding that made me almost faint. Try not to worry, cramps are normal in pregnancy! My miscarriage didn’t start off with cramps, they only kicked in once the heavy bleeding started. I started off spotting, then every symptom I had of pregnancy disappeared. The spotting went from extremely light pink, to bright red with cramps that went from hardly anything to extreme. Worst experience of my ENTIRE life.
