How to find out my due date?

I went to Scripps and they did a blood test and I'm 3 weeks one day pregnant today but when I add my first day of my last menstrual period to calculate my due date it gives me February 07 2016 which  that makes me 5 weeks pregnant today but I'm only 3 weeks. Can anyone explain?

So when you go from LMP you have to keep in mind that's day 1. By the time you ovulate that's usually week 2. And by the time you get your positive pregancy test you are at 4 weeks past your period and 2 weeks past ovulation. So blood will show how far past ovulation you are BUT you still have to add the 2 weeks for before you ovulate. I hope that wasn't too confusing.

I was confused by this at first too. My doctor told me that the way the medical records show is that it is 40 weeks from your last. But really you only be 38 weeks pregnant from the time you conceived. While you may be five weeks from your last period you are only three weeks pregnant
