Is walking your 5month old puppy (large breed) in the winter safe during pregnancy?

I have a black and tan coon hound, he's 5 months and he is an insane ball of energy... he has only been on a handful of walks cause we had some really bad weather a little whole ago. and last week I was on bed rest.

If you were just on bed rest, personally, I wouldn't take any risks and ask someone else (SO?) to walk him.

My doctor said be careful in case he saw a squirrel or something so he doesn't pull you down.

Do what you feel comfortable to do. If you think it's a bad idea trust your gut. Plus no one knows your dog like you do.

I would be extremely careful. We had a dog who would do anything to get to any other dog and he pulled me down when I was 32 weeks pregnant and it caused me to go into preterm labor. Luckily it was stopped but I do believe in hiring someone to leash train with self control if you don’t think you can train the dog yourself. It was so scary and it made me very resentful towards my
Dog because I was constantly scared to walk him.

I have an 80# dog and I have been very careful of where we walk in the winter due to ice. I have been taking different routes and wearing my grippy winter boots for added protection!
