Ex problems!!

My ex and I broke up 2 weeks ago, he texted me last Friday asking how I was. So I asked him, he just started telling me all his problems. He's really comfortable with me & trusts me.He broke up with me saying he wasn't ready and wanted to focus on himself (getting a job, moving,religion) should I still keep in touch with him? Maybe we can work out in the future? I never initiate contact first.
