I made a POF profile clearly stating I'm just looking to make friends in the town I just moved to. It says I'm not single. Do you think this is ok it that my bf would be mad? I plan to tell him, I just haven't yet.

I understand that it's just to make friends but very few people on POF are interested in making friends... Hence why they call it a "dating site". I find it very disrespectful. Lying to him about it says even more.

There's a dating site called oasis active that even though it's called a "dating site" you make mostly friends. Otherwise why not use Facebook friend pages?

Nono no. POF or ANY other DATING site should not be used to make friends. Being "friends" on dating sites just means fwb. And I'm sure your bf wouldn't like that. My boyfriend would throw me out of this house so quick, if I even thought about using a dating site for friends. If he gets mad, he has every right. If you haven't even told him yet, that's even worse.
