Ok so I’m going on 5 days late and I just noticed that my fertility period was been adjusted after I have said “my period is late” when I go to my log. I had sex during my fertility week but it looks like I didn’t. I had sex a few days before and in my ovulation day. When I click the “my period is late” why is it adjusting my previous ovulation cycle? 🤔

The app can’t tell you when you ovulated. So saying that you no longer know when you ovulated doesn’t make sense. 
The app uses the data you provide to make an educated guess as to when you were most likely to ovulate. If your cycle length changed (because your period is late) it changes the days it thinks you probably ovulated based on the length of the current cycle. 
The only way to truly know when you ovulated is with an ovulation test.

this is why I keep notes of when I feel a pain in my side. obviously not everyone gets cramps but keeping track of physical symptoms is still super helpful

It’s because you must ovulate in order to bleed and statistically you bleed 14 days give or take, after you ovulate (that period of time is called your luteal phase) ..  So when you put you haven’t bled yet it jumped your assumed ovulation, because that means chances are you really didn’t ovulate on the first assumed date since your period is late/haven gotten a positive HPT. That’s why you must never trust an app on its own. You must always temp, test and track for the most optimal knowing.
