Hello ladies 
I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant yesterday so now my question is what is the process in the UK? Do you just phone the gps and they arrange midwife and scan?

I think generally they don’t do much in the beginning. I called my GP and was referred to the community midwife. She then pretty much just told me the next step at my appointment and said I’d get a booking for the 12 week scan and appointment with another midwife nearer that time. You get a lot of paperwork sent through.

I made an appointment with my GP and he referred me to the midwife unit they then sent me a letter about my booking in appointment.
