What should I do?

been with my bf for 2 1/2 years....since I've had surgery on my foot he takes off for hours, and the few nights been sleeping I the couch. then when my step mom took her car back since I'm not able to drive right now, he wants to throw it all away what we have been through, and packing some of his things today, but leaving some of his stuff. What is going on? my son considered him his dad and don't want him to go anywhere. we love him dearly and his only family cause his family don't care about him. how do I get to keep our family? he gets so mad when I try to talk with him and I don't know why or what going on with him. 😔 he never tells me what going on in his head and never said why he doing this to us!
