Pregnancy massage?

Thinking about looking into monthly pregnancy massage for the dirationofmy pregnancy (currently 20 weeks). Have you had massage during your pregnancy? Please share your impressions!

I went monthly the whole pregnancy and for the last bit of my third trimester I have been going weekly. I love it.

Go to a specific prenatal massage therapist. Most insurances cover 6-8 1hr sessions of prescribed by a doctor...so it's worth talking to ur ob about.

I love my pmt and they work around your bump and hit spots that the pregnancy can cause to flare including your feet. It's amazing. I go weekly now cause my insurance pays for 12 :) and I'm 33w

I'm going every month and hope to continue until it becomes uncomfortable.  I've had bad ones in the past (like when you go on vacation and try the hotel spa) but if you can find someone with good reviews it might be well worth it.  I chase my 3 & 1yr olds around all day and this really helps me to relax.

I did a few in the first and second trimesters. They helped a lot with nausea and general pregnancy aches and pains. In my third trimester I went for one, which was nice, but now I'm too big, hot and uncomfortable to really enjoy. If you feel like you can lie still on your side without having to shift too much then I would recommend it. Don't be afraid to speak up if you get too hot- it won't be enjoyable if that's the case.

Mine was terrible. Not that the masseuse wasn't good....I was hot, needed to move a lot because my position wasn't comfortable. I felt bad for the lady. I needed the massage after baby not during, but I do have a friend who went to her monthly and loved it. My body and baby said nope.

I had one at about 24 weeks I wanna say. (Pregnancy brain won't let me remember) it felt good but it's not something I'd personally do again. Definitely try it though, it could be different for you.
