Is it okay to stop prenatals from getting extremely sick?

So, i have tried SO many brands of prenatal vitamins, and at first they didn’t bother me but then I start getting super sick. The symptoms I have are the same as others (I read reviews) and I just don’t know what to do. I don’t want to not give my baby what it needs, but it has literally  made me so sick to the point I have to stay in bed all day, I have cramping and extreme nausea all throughout the day and night, if I stand up I get dizzy. Just.. everything. I have tried to take it every other day.. and it hasn’t helped.

Try 2 Flintstones chewable tablets a day with dinner. Was the only thing that worked for me.

Have you tried children’s multivitamin gummies. My doctor said they are the same things you may just have to take extra folic acid. Because I couldn’t take them either. It was to harsh and had the most horrible taste!!

I think multivitamins are prenatals are pretty much the same. Have you tried switching to those?

Prenatals are designed to give your baby the things your diet is lacking, if you can step up and get exactly what’s recommended, you don’t need a prenatal, but I don’t eat everything daily so I stick with my vitamin. Try different brands? I’ve read a lot of women switch to gummy vitamins to curb nausea. Ask your doctor about prescription vitamins that might have less fillers?

Talk to your doctor, you might be able to work out something like Ensure drinks or something else to make up for the lack of vitamins. Also make sure your not suffering from really nasty morning sickness. Mine was so bad driving would make me sick and I had to switch to a gummy prenatal because the big pills would make me sick too. Now I take a gummy prenatal, an lottle iron pill(gummies have no iron, I guess it's an overdose issue), and Unisom for my morning sickness. Works great and will continue until my son is born.

I had this problem but only because of morning sickness. (I can take my prenatals fine now) Anyways I would talk to your doctor about it but they have supplements you can take that are just specifically folic acid or iron or whatever. Maybe it would help if you took a couple different pills but overall it's be less than what's in a prenatal. Idk I would definitely ask your doctor or a nurse but I did that for the beginning while my morning sickness was bad

Try taking them after dinner or before you go to bed. When I took them in the morning they always made me feel nauseous. Once I started taking them later in the day I started feeling better. Just needed more foods in my stomach.
