Do you put in a tampon just to take a bath?

I was thinking of just taking an hour long bath to help with cramps should I put a tampon in? My flow is medium to heavyish

No water stops the flow. You might get a little bit of blood in the bath if you’re in there an hour but don’t put a tampon in. Just enjoy your bath 😊

In my experience, you typically don’t bleed in the bath and don’t need one, but if you’re bleeding heavily, a tampon won’t stop it from leaking into the bath - I’ve had that happen. Just be aware you may get a little in the bath water, and if you’re not okay with that, don’t take a bath - if it’s going to happen, it’ll happen with or without a tampon in. (No the tampon wasn’t at full absorbency bc I’d just put it in. Yes, I take baths for multiple hours at a time. I read a book sometimes in the bathtub - it’s a guilty, selfish pleasure.)

So there was actually one time I was taking a bath on my period and was in there for a while and I got up and blood instantly starting coming out so now I'm always putting a tampon in 😭 I'm really about blood. My advice to you is put one in or don't be in there too long unless blood doesn't bother you

Most likely the blood will stop when you get in the bath but if it doesn’t a little blood won’t hurt you.
