TL/DR - How long did it take for your pain to subside after having the Mirena inserted???

I had laparoscopy surgery on Monday to clean out my endometriosis. Turns out I don’t have endo but instead have adhesions on my uterus. I have an appointment with my doc next week to find out more about that.

After the procedure they inserted a Mirena which I was only getting inserted to keep the endo at bay, but now that I don’t have endo, I don’t see the point in having it really. I have had such horrible reactions from every other form of birth control so I’m worried about this one too (I’ll discuss this with my doc next week).

I feel like the pain from the surgery is starting to subside but I’m still getting intense period pain from the Mirena. I read that pain from the Mirena can last anywhere between 2 weeks and 6 months. I just want to know from other women what your experience has been??
