Ovulation confusion

Okay so I’m a little confused. My app shows on the calendar that I was supposed to ovulate on the 28th, but I just got an alert telling me that I was supposed to be ovulating today. And I’m certain I ovulated the 27, because my bbt spiked up and I saw ewcm. Are my alerts just messing up?
