Weight?

Question

Does anyone believe that weight can affect conception? 
My husband and I have been trying for our first baby for a year now. 
I am 25 years old.
We just started tracking ovulation this week...

Nope I don't think so. It doesn't make sense to me why it would be any different if you are 100 pounds or 300+ pounds. I got pregnant first try at 355 pounds and I am still 355 pounds at 35 weeks pregnant

Im overnight too and my doctor says thats my problem for getting prego. He said everyones body different and reacts differently.

Definitely. Not to say you can't get pregnant if you are overweight but the chances go down and there is a higher chance you will have complications during the pregnancy, like gestational diabetes. Fat can sequester estrogen and since estrogen is so important in your cycle, it can really affect things. My doc said even losing 10 lbs can have a dramatic increase on your chance of fertility. I am trying to lose some weight to help me get pregnant but also because I want to be healthy for my future baby. Good luck ttc :)

I'm underweight and am seriously thinking it's affecting TTC. I've been trying for 3 years and I have a 6 year old so I've been pregnant before.

I'm 5'8 and a size18-20 with PCOS. I started watching my calories, eating more protein and quit drinking pop last month. Also started walking in the evenings and just generally more active! In 3 weeks I lost 7 lbs. and boom I was pregnant with number #2. Unfortunately I had a chemical pregnancy but it gave me hope that my body is healthier and doing what it's suppose to! I've been TTC for 9 months, took a year with my first.

Also should note my husband started watching his calories too and quit drinking pop, mostly My. Dew. Also more active.

Idk I'm iffy about it my doctor told me to gain weight a year ago, I gained a little bit of weight(5ish lbs) and still no luck...

I don't think so but I hear it can. I see skinny women pregnant and I have a couple plus size friends who have gotten pregnant weighing 250+ and 300+. I am currently TTC at 5'5 weighing 318 spoke with my doctor and he didn't seem to have any concerns. Would they like me to drop weight sure but every women's body is different so it's a hit and miss in my book
