Do you smoke pot while pregnant?

only asking, I live in Colorado and alot of pregnant women do!

I think if it's suggested by a doctor only. Not a decision to make on your own. For some women with anxiety and depression, the common medication prescribed actually puts the pregnancy at risk yet still is prescribed because the mental health is important in the mother. I think if marijuana was used to replace these drugs it actually could benefit both and be safer. 
But if used as recreational use, im against that.

There's been studying that suggest smoking pot while pregnant let's to lie birth weight. My mother did with me and I was only 5lbs when I was born. So no I don't smoke while pregnant I sushi don't while breastfeeding. When I'm not occasionally I do for anxiety and pain.

I did in my first trimester for this pregnancy (4th baby). I’ve had 3 boys, but they’ve never made me near as nauseous as this little girl has lol. I’ve been constantly throwing up since like 6 weeks! So weed was like my bestie 😂
But once I got to the 2nd trimester, I stopped. I hit it twice the other day, but that was because I was in a really bad mood, and SO was smoking it & gave me 2 hits lol. 
Other than that though, no, I try not to.

Let me preface by saying I am really open about this sort of thing. I even donated money to clinical trials for psilocybin mushrooms. I have a biochemistry background so I don’t look at “drugs” in the sort of taboo way others do. I don’t personally like pot because it seems to affect me differently - I don’t get that nice relaxed feeling from it everyone else does. Unfortunately it makes me anxious and paranoid. However I totally understand that it might be great for others. That being said, even if I was a regular pot smoker, I probably wouldn’t continue while pregnant. The reason is because I know it crosses the placenta barrier and I’ve seen enough research indicating that it might have a negative impact on a growing fetus. I actually take stimulants for ADHD and even-though, like pot, they have limited evidence of causing harm to a growing fetus, there’s enough evidence to make me not want to take the chance. I quit them for the time being even-though I have felt as if I was wallowing through molasses without them. However, it’s temporary and I’ll survive. That’s just my personal approach. I trust every mom-to be to make the right decisions for her body and baby.
