How many days past ovulation is a good time to test?

Just curious on how early past your ovulation window you can test. I'll be 10 days past ovulation on fathers day I just think that would be an awesome surprise/gift. Is that to early to test?

I've heard you can have very faint postives at 10 dpo... But I've also heard that some women don't get positives until their missed period! (I'm 10 dpo, last month went a little nuts so hubs wants to wait 2 more days at least... I'm dying to know!)

Its not to early but it doesn't mean u will get a bfp either BC it can still be early
