Do I have the fussiest baby ever?

My little man is one month old and just never seems happy or content, on top of really never sleeping. He fusses and cries so much during the day, were at our wits end. I'm lucky if he takes a half hour nap during the day and at night he's up at least every two hours to eat. I have no idea why he can't sleep or stay asleep. He's gaining weight fine and doctor says he's completely healthy. The sleep deprivation is the worst thing, I can handle the crying, but consistently getting no sleep is killing me. Anyone else dealing with this? Suggestions?

Try a baby carrier like an ErgoBaby or a Moby Wrap. Sounds like you just have a colicky baby. My daughter used to get colicky at 6 every night so I'd put her in the carrier and she'd calm down and eventually fall asleep. The Moby is good for during the day but the Ergo is great at night because you can take the baby out gently without waking them. I swear, babywearing was/is an absolute necessity for me as well as a lifesaver! If you're using pacifiers, put your little one in the carrier, put in the pacifier, and walk around. Eventually your baby will calm down and fall asleep. I'd bet money on it. And with a carrier you get two hands free to go about your day :) Good luck!!!

Try mylicon drops. It's for gas pains and it will help them sleep. The pediatrician said to give this to my baby at night up to every 2 hours for 4 doses. She only gets fussy at night time and doesn't sleep. But I've done the drops for two nights and it has helped a lot!

My girl was the same. We found out she had bad reflux...she wouldn't usually spit up, but you could hear it in her throat. We got on Prevacid and she's SO happy!

I will tell yu my little girl had been so fussy and crying and screaming. Turns out she was just really gassy. I tried gripe water but i really found out that her problem was that she needed to burp more than I thought she needed. Anyway I Pinterest ways to burp a baby and found this technique where you sit the baby on your legs sitting straight up facing the side. You put one hand under their chin and the other on the back of ther neck so that you are
Able to support their head and back. From there move the baby into a circle motion like you are churning butter. Slowly.. Do this till you get a burp. This technique forces the stomach muscles to contract forcing the extra air out. I swear this saved me and my sleep! Best of luck

He sounds like he's overtired. You just need to find what works for him. Babies that young need at least 15 hours in a 24 hour period. You say he's feeding every 2 in the night? What about daytime? Make sure and feed baby every 3 hours in the day and no longer than 4- the more calories he gets in the day the less he will need at night. Once he's been awake for maximum 1.5hours lay him down and play some white noise and encourage him to sleep - if he wakes up encourage him to sleep for a little longer. It's hard Hun but you'll get there - you'll notice a huge improvement after 6 weeks.

Give him a nice worm bath! And put Vasline on him then message his legs and arms for a good 10 min . Swaddle him even if he cries THEN feed him & put him to sleep SWEAR it'll work my mom did it when I was in ur situation & he slept for 4 hours straight
