Strange spot

I have a medium sized, red angry looking spot on my left hip, exactly on my waist band and pretty much on the bone of my hip (I think I’m not sure because there’s a plaster there). It’s sore and I’ve tried to squeeze it but nothing happened. I’ve put some germolene on it along with a plaster to see if it’ll draw it out or something even though the cream is out of date lol 😂. Anyways, my mum said I should show her it tomorrow but I don’t really want to show her because I have a few scars and stretch marks on my stomach and I don’t think she’d understand (more about the scars than the stretch marks).

So, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? And should I show her when I take off the plaster? I will post a picture of it in the comments or on this post if I can edit it tomorrow.
